Jacobean with Hazel Blomkamp from South Africa

During this workshop students are invited to choose one of the 2 stunning designs to work on.
Jacobean Spray is a new design completed with a combination of DMC Perle threads, Anchor stranded cottons and Miyuki beads, this design covers a number of crewel stitches and techniques along with some interesting weaving ideas. It is ideal for both intermediate and advanced embroiderers who would like to either learn Jacobean Embroidery or try some techniques to give their embroidery a new twist. Worked on cotton twill, it measures 215 x 150mm and the original of this project has been used as a cushion panel. It could however, have other applications like framing or be used as a handbag flap.
Jacobean Footstool is a very popular design which is completed with a combination of DMC and Anchor stranded cottons, this 250 x 250mm footstool design covers a multitude of crewel stitches and techniques and, whilst a large project, is ideal for intermediate embroiderers who would like to try Jacobean Embroidery.
