The collection of insects, worked in a variety of techniques, can be mounted in a specimen box, or applied to other embroideries. The specimens include a bumble bee with detached wings and a fluffy body; a dragonfly with a beaded body and gauzy wings; a beetle with its raised elytra worked in metallic needlelace; and a cricket with a snakeskin body and long, wrapped-wire legs. This design measures 14cm square.
Skill level: Suitable for all levels of experience
