Japanese Embroidery has a 1600 year history. If you want a taste of the age-old embroidery form and wish to learn how to work with the delicate Japanese flat silk, this project is for you. In this class you will be introduced to a few basic traditional Japanese Embroidery techniques using luxurious Japanese flat silk and metallic threads. You will learn how to bring out the best shine of flat silk in your mbroidery and make your own twisted threads. You will also be taught how to combine threads and discover the versatility of flat silk
Skill Level: This is a beginners workshop however students who wish to attend must enjoy fine work and attention to detail, in a disciplined environment
