Two Fabric Embellished Hats with Wendy Bailye

Join experienced tutor and feltmaker Wendy Bailye on an exciting felting journey making 2 lightweight stylish felt hats for everyday or special occasions. Learn the basics of felt hat making with fabric embellishment and make 2 beautifully styled hats to suit your head and face shape... You will use a variety of silk and cotton fabrics to decorate the wool and to add pattern and design. You will be guaranteed individually styled hats to take home, they will be wonderfully wearable! Hat blocks will be supplied but do bring one if you have one as we will be sharing blocks between us. You will learn about 3d resists, using fabrics as embellishment and blocking a hat.
Skill level: This is a felt class suitable for all skill levels! It requires a small amount of physical work rubbing and rolling the felt.
Materials Fee Kit cost:$136.50 includes materials for two felted hats .Threads, superfine merino wool tops in a range of colours, soap ,printed silk georgette and cotton fabrics , hand dyed silk and fibres, template material and use of my rolling mats etc and hat blocks.
If you would like a specific base colour of wool please advise your colour options when booking. Wendy will also bring a good selection of base colours.
