Join Wendy Bailye for two lovely days playing with fabrics and patterns to create a delicate light weight felted wrap in patterns of your choice. The wrap will have a black base with your choice of mosaic fabric decoration and design. You will learn to felt onto a base of silk fabric to create fantastic lightweight felts that are unique and very beautiful .This is a very gentle , quick felting process. It is also a class in creation. Your design – your own creation. We will have sampling on day one and will create a small felt collar /scarflette and day two will see the completion of the wrap. The finished wrap can be worn as a wrap or as a wrap skirt or even transformed into a simple vest by cutting armholes. It also makes a lovely wall hanging.
Choice of colourways
Urban : blacks, whites and grey patterned fabrics or
Tribal : browns, burgundy, rust and earthy colours
Skill level: -beginners to advanced and everyone in between!
Kit Cost: $136.50 which will include a 2.5m black silk georgette base fabric, 18 micron merino superfine wool and 2.5m patterned silk fabrics in a variety of earthy colours, and use of Wendy’s felting equipment including rolling mats and netting.
