Flemish Botanical Flowers - Part 1
Thursday 5th & Friday 6th July
This design features some stunning flowers such as: Auricula, Morning Glory, Parrot Tulipa, Fritillary, Pink Rosa and Bearded Iris, which are the flowers chosen over the two workshops, to cover a multitude of new techniques. Students can either work on these as individual designs or work them as part of the entire project "Flemish Botanical Flowers."
During the first two days you will learn the Auricula (in a choice of 2 colours; soft green or plum), the blue Morning Glory and the Parrot Tulipa.
During the second 2 day Workshop you will learn the Fritillary, Pink Rose and Bearded Iris.
The Flemish Still Life Masterpiece Workshop 1 - Thursday 7th & Friday 8th July
Set on a soft green wool flannel background, the leaves are all stitched in sumptuous hand dyed silk ribbons, silk threads, fine wools and mohairs. The subtle graduated tonings of colour throughout the threads and ribbons give the flowers a life like appeal. You will learn the Auricula (in a choice of 2 colours; soft green or plum), the blue Morning Glory and the Parrot Tulipa.
Skill level: Some stitching knowledge will be an advantage
Kit cost: $120.00 for the Auricula the Blue Morning Glory and the Parrot Tulipa. (Please choose colour option of Plum or Soft Green for the Auricula) This kit will include all threads, instructions for the 3 flowers. This price does not include the base fabric/flannel, hence gives you the option to bring your own choice of colour and fabric.

For those students who wish to complete the entire piece there will be a complete and comprehensive workbook available for purchase at the event. As this is such a large project, Catherine will be offering a continuation workshop at the Koala Event in 2013.
